Snippy Snip runs entirely on your Mac. It contains no telemetry, no analytics, and no tracking. Your screenshots and recordings are stored only on your device and are never transmitted anywhere unless you copy, save, share, or upload them yourself.
Snippy Snip requests macOS Screen Recording permission solely to capture your screen when you ask it to, and (optionally) Microphone and Camera permission to include your narration or your camera picture in recordings you start — both only while a recording you started is running. These permissions are managed by macOS and can be revoked at any time in System Settings.
When you send feedback from inside the app, we receive only what you write, the category you pick, your email if you leave one, any screenshots you choose to attach, and your app version, macOS version and plan (Free or Pro) so we can reproduce the problem. Nothing else is attached — no identifier, and no screenshot you didn’t pick yourself. Screenshots you attach are stored with your feedback and used only to look into it and answer you. That also means that without an email, we have no way to reply to you. We use your address only to answer your feedback.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. Checkout happens on Lemon Squeezy's own pages — your card details never reach this site or our servers. We receive only what's needed to deliver your license (name, email, license key).
