Thanks for testing! Your license key is in your purchase receipt email. Download below, then follow the two setup steps — they exist because beta builds aren't Apple-notarized yet, and both go away at launch.

1 · Install (once per build)

  1. Unzip and drag SnippySnip.app into Applications.
  2. Double-click it. macOS will refuse — "Apple could not verify SnippySnip is free of malware". Click Done (don't move it to Trash).
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Open Anyway, then confirm.

2 · Activate Pro

  1. Copy the license key from your receipt email.
  2. In SnippySnip: SnippySnip menu → License… (also in the menu-bar camera icon's menu), paste the key, click Activate.

Permissions

On your first capture or recording, macOS asks for Screen & System Audio Recording access — grant it and relaunch if prompted. Because each beta build is unsigned, macOS forgets this permission every time you install a new build: if captures come out black after an update, remove SnippySnip from that permission list and re-grant it.

What to test: screenshots (⌃⇧4 from anywhere), the annotation editor and instant clipboard, screen recording (⌃⇧5), and the purchase flow you just went through. Anything confusing, slow, or broken — tell Dominic, ideally with a screenshot.
